Membership Makes A Difference. We Need
Your Help!

Present membership expired on July 31, 2022

Dear Animal Friend:

This was another unforgettable year for Clay Humane – from the expansion of our feral cat sterilization program to the addition of two new veterinarians – we reached more communities and made a bigger impact than ever before. As one of our area’s oldest and most proactive animal welfare organizations, we are motivated by one goal – fostering humane attitudes in our communities and, in turn, ending the needless euthanasia of healthy animals in our shelters. Every day the Society and its veterinary clinic provides low-cost or free veterinary care, promotes humane education, performs pet-assisted therapy for the elderly or disabled, and work to rehabilitate injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife. Your support and engagement made it all possible!

As we look toward 45 years as Clay County’s leader in animal welfare, Clay Humane is reimagining our work and diving into new programs and collaborations. Some of the exciting things that your membership will support:

  • More free feral cat sterilizations in collaboration with Clay Animal Services plus free dog sterilizations for more than 100 other pets and shelter animals from around Northeast Florida.
  • Expansion of Televet telemedicine scheduling.
  • Increased after-hours urgent care staffing and capabilities.
  • Greater than 5,000 additional appointments created for low-cost care in one year as our staff grows!

We need your help in securing the future of these and many other critical programs! Throughout its long history, Clay Humane has been a solid fixture in the community – and we could not have done it without your help. As we receive no county or state funding, the income from our ever-busy clinic and the generous contributions of our dedicated supporters empower us to help those who have nowhere else to turn when in need. With your help, the Society will continue to serve individuals from around the area - raising consciousness of the importance of responsible, compassionate pet ownership.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Clay Humane as best as possible given these circumstances. We know it has not been easy adapting to all of these changes, managing changes in your own personal lives, and still continuing to be exceptional advocates for our community’s animals.

Clay Humane is one of our area’s oldest and most proactive animal welfare organizations, motivated by one goal – fostering humane attitudes in our communities and, in turn, ending the needless euthanasia of healthy animals in our shelters. Every day the Society and its veterinary clinic provides low-cost or free veterinary care, promotes humane education, perform pet-assisted therapy for the elderly or disabled, and works to rehabilitate injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife. We have sterilized over 25,000 feral and owned cats for free and over 100,000 at significantly reduced costs, preventing tens of thousands of unwanted births. And we have no plans to slow down. In fact, in July of 2018, we introduced our new after-hours urgent care program. We are now open even more hours to ensure quality, affordable care is available for your pets!

Your support has been instrumental in helping to ensure the future of these and many other valuable programs. Throughout its 43 year history, Clay Humane has been a solid fixture in the community – and we could not have done it without your help. As we receive no county or state funding, the income from our ever-hectic clinic and the generous contributions of our dedicated supporters empower us to help those who have nowhere else to turn when in need. With your help, the Society will continue to serve individuals from around the area - raising consciousness to the importance of responsible, compassionate pet ownership.
