Clay Humane's purpose, direction and path are guided by the following set of core values:

Core Values

STEWARDSHIP:

Clay Humane manages and allocates all its resources to remain steadfast to the mission, to achieve the greatest good, and to ensure the future of the organization.

Quality Care:

Clay Humane’s actions and decisions are based on providing the best quality of care.  Clay Humane respects the life of each individual animal, while focusing on the welfare of staff, community, and the animal population as a whole.

Community-focused:

Every day the Society and its veterinary clinic provides affordable, quality medical care, promotes humane education, performs pet-assisted therapy for the elderly or disabled, work to rehabilitate injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife, sustains a pet food bank and retains a disaster animal response team (DART).

Respect:

Clay Humane treats all people with dignity and respect in a non-judgmental manner. The general public, staff members and volunteers are all viewed as partners in improving animal welfare and in fulfilling the Mission.
