Howl For A Cause
Community Turns Out For Clay Humane's "Howl at the Moon"
On November 8, Clay Humane once again brought the community together for its annual “Howl at the Moon” celebration—an evening where compassion and a love for animals came together under the glow of the Florida moon.
Hosted at The River House, a cherished community staple that has proudly sponsored the event for six consecutive years, the gathering has grown into a true favorite among locals. This year was no exception. More than 200 River House members showed up ready to make a difference, donating pet food, purchasing raffle tickets and auction items, and enjoying a delicious barbecue dinner—all in support of Clay Humane’s many vital programs.
The event had everything that makes “Howl at the Moon” so special: the soft breeze coming off the St. Johns River, cocktails in hand, and the soundtrack of a cool live band setting the tone for a relaxed, joy-filled night. It’s the kind of atmosphere that reminds everyone why this event has become so beloved—because it blends fun with a meaningful mission.
Every contribution made that evening helps Clay Humane continue its lifesaving work: providing low-cost veterinary care, rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need, and supporting education and outreach programs across the community. Thanks to the generosity and spirit of River House members, the organization once again “comes out a winner,” ensuring that animals throughout Clay County receive the care and compassion they deserve.
Because honestly—an evening by the St. Johns, under a glowing moon, cocktail in hand, great music, great friends, and helping animals… what could be better?
