Indigent Care Program

Assisting those who need

Indigent care program in action at the holiday pet food drive

Clay Humane provides the following needs based assistance to Clay County citizens:

Spay and Neutuer Services

The Clay Humane Indigent Care Program assists citizens under financial strain. Those who qualify receive spay and neuter services, along with rabies vaccination, at a reduced rate or free of charge. This one-time assistance is provided to help local residents take care of their existing animals. For more information and eligibility questions, please call the clinic (904) 276-7729.

Pet Food Bank

With the aid of local corporations and concerned citizens, Clay Humane provides a pet food bank for those in need to make sure no loved and cared-for animal goes hungry. Thousands of nourishing meals have been provided to animals since the inception of the program. During the holiday season, Clay Humane partners with the Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs and Northeast Florida Builders Association to distribute pet (and humane) food at the beginning of December. Clay Humane also provides nourishing pet meals for elderly pet parents by partnering with the Clay County Council On Aging through their Pet Meals On Wheels program.
